P2d – Interactions between dairy feeding systems, facility design, production and health
This project will explore the differences in performance and response to environmental change between intensively housed or extensively managed herds:
- Do herds in different systems respond differently to heat stress?
- How do we design facilities for optimal cow comfort and longevity?
- What makes cows happy and productive?
This is truly a study that can help define and improve the future for dairy cattle.
