Seeking DNA donations
As part of the Dairy UP subprogram P1c, we are conducting a DNA survey of kikuyu pastures across southeastern Australia. The purpose of the study is to the evaluate kikuyu varietal diversity across the landscape.
If you would like to include your pasture in the genetic analysis, could you fill in the details below and send some leaf tissue to the following address:

A sampling procedure follows:
- 4-5 green and healthy leaves are required for DNA isolation. Uproot plants with some soil and pack them in plastic sandwich bags/zipper bags (with punched holes for transpiration). Please send these express post as soon as possible.
- Please record the GPS location of the pasture, farm name and date of collection. Any other information such as seed source (if relevant) and historical incidence of kikuyu toxicity (if any) would be great.
