Milk has numerous nutritional, mechanical, chemical and physical characteristics that have not yet been fully exploited. Dairy UP seeks to identify valuable attributes and explore opportunities for novel products, new diagnostic and detection tools and applications to address environmental pressures.
This PhD will achieve a better understanding of variability of milk components and explore factors that affect their production (such as genetics, treatment, nutrition, management). This novel, multidisciplinary, integrated and innovative research project will enable us to increase the economic efficiency of milk production by measuring, managing and modifying different attributes of milk to generate new understandings, new products and new markets.
